Italy travel poster

The artwork is a travel poster for Italy, it includes the colors of the flag, some tourist attractions, and the shape of the country. I used paint to create the poster, making sure to try and go the same stroke with the brush. I used color in the painting, I used green, blue, orange, and red as double complimentary colors. The Italian flag is a background for the poster. The other things are emphasized by their placements on the poster. I learned how to use the colors schemes on the color wheel in my art work.

City drawing

The artwork is of an imaginary city that being attacked by doodle monsters. I used two point perspective to create the city, all the buildings and the things such as fire hydrants are in the two point perspective. I used colored pencils to do the whole city, and give everything the colors it needs. I used analogous colors to color the buildings, and they all also have a pattern on them.  I used these to make the buildings look more realistic. I learned how to use two point perspective to make things pop out on the paper.

Clay whistle

The artwork is a whistle made of clay. It's formed and painted into the famous muppet, Kermit the Frog. The work has texture to it, the texture is completely smooth with no bumps. Kermit has approximate balance because his body and the features of his face are almost the same on each side but are not quite perfectly the same. Form was also used to make the figure three dimensional. I used the principles and elements to make the figure more realistic. I learned that when using materials such as clay you need to be very precise in what texture and form you want it to be.
