The artwork is a picture of five household objects. I created with shadows using value and contrast. There was somewhat of a radial balance because the objects are surrounding the phone. I learned how to give objects value and shadows depending on where the light is hitting and not hitting the objects.

Negative space
The artwork is a piece that shows the difference between a positive space and negative space. It was created by using a viewfinder to find a small piece of the still life. I used pattern in the background with the different squiggles. There is also color contrast in the background with the variety of colored curvy lines. I learned how to focus on the positive and negative spaces in a picture.
Sneaker
The artwork is a contour line drawing of the shoe. The shoe was created using contour lines, the lines were what give the show it's detail. There is no shading to give the shoe value whatsoever. I used line, contour lines to be exact to give the the shoe it's shape, definition, and small details. I learned that with contour lines it's to give the object it's shape rather than shading it to give it value.
Mary Poppins and Bert Alfred
This artwork is a picture of the popular children's characters, Mary Poppins and Bert. I started with an outline of the people and added in detail to them such as facial features and detailing their clothing, I also filled in a background. I used a form of emphasis called simplicity. I did a subtle background that way Mary and Bert would pop out from the drawing. There was also a use of colors like the pop of bright colors in some of the accents on their clothing, such as Mary's skirt or Bert's elbow patches. I used these principles to make sure that the characters were the main idea of the piece and the focus that draws a persons eye rather than the background. I learned that if you want something to be the first focus than don't have an extravagant background but go for something simple, and to make sure if you want something to be the main point you must emphasize those objects.
